Our Vegetable Garden takes you on a journey celebrating the most important plants to mankind. On this website we describe all the many different types of vegetables that we come across, from the common to the obscure. Get to know how they look like, where they come from, how they taste, how to grow them, and so on.

Growing vegetables provide double pleasure to the gardening enthusiast: not only do we enjoy watching them grow, well-tended vegetables literally allow us to taste the fruits of our labor. Not only that, the vegetables that we grow ourselves are more likely to be healthier and free from pesticides compared to the store-bought.

About Us

My name is Tim and my wife is Esther. We created this website together. We are both gardening enthusiast, and of course we enjoy vegetables. Not only to eat them, but just to watch them grow. Nowadays the only "gardening" we do is on the web. That's because we moved into a small apartment where there is no space to garden. Our Vegetable Garden is one of the gardening websites in Our Online Garden series.

Our Series of Websites

Our first gardening website is The Flowering Garden, began in 2007. Since then, we have also started a new series of online garden websites for bamboos, cacti, conifers, ferns, fruits, mushrooms, orchids, roses, spices, trees, tropical plants and vegetables.
